Hat Trick for Hatt in Home Win

Holmesdale found the net six times in a comfortable win over visitors Sporting Bengal.

Chris Hatt scored two goals in two minutes and followed up with a third through a 51st minute penalty to secure his hat trick.

Charlie Cornielle and Joel Greaves brought home the other three goals in the last ten minutes of the match.

Friendly ends in draw

The Dalers earned a creditable 2-2 draw against Ryman North Side Chatham Town yesterday evening at Oakley Road.

Holmesdale took the lead through an early goal from Chris Hatt in the 8th minute. Chatham then equalised on the half hour through Tom Davey, with Brad Potter scoring 5 minutes later to take Chatham 2-1 up into the break.

In the second half the returning James Dadson brought Holmesdale level in the 87th minute in what was a very competitive run out for both squads.

Points Shared in First Draw of The Season

The Second XI shared the points with Herne Bay in a 1-1 draw at Oakley Road. The draw means The Reserves lose their unbeaten League Record after winning their previous eight games.

Holmesdale will be welcoming Ryman League North Division's Chatham Town on Tuesday 23rd December at 8:00PM for a friendly match at Oakley Road.

Weekend Results

Saturday 13th December 2008

Holmesdale lost 2-1 to Deal Town in the Kent Senior Trophy Second Round tie. The match was even at 1-1 at half time with goals from Suter (20) and Greaves (37). Deal went on to win the game in the 78th minute with a goal from Davidson. Deal now go on to face Tunbridge Wells.

The Second XI's home league match against Deal Town for Saturday 13th December has been changed.

The team will now be playing VCD Athletic.

Cup Qualification

Saturday 6th December 2008

Deal Town were winners on the day with a 1-0 victory through a Suter goal in the 56 minute. The win wasn't enough as Homesdale go through on aggregate with a 2-1 result. Holmesdale now go onto play Faversham Town in the Quarter Finals.

The Kent Intermediate Cup also saw The Second XI safely through with a 2-0 victory away to Bearstead.
