Defeat for U18s

Holmesdale's Under 18's suffered their biggest defeat of the season with a 6-0 loss to Three Bridges U18.

In their previous meeting Holmesdale took the points in a 2-1 win with 2 goals from Atille.


Shoot Out Sees Holmesdale Through

Saturday 12th December 2009

Holmesdale travelled to Eden Park Road to face local rivals Beckenham Town in The Kent Senior Trophy Second Round with the prospect of their first Quarter Final in mind.

Gary Gorman opened the scoring for Beckenham after 28 minutes.

Ben Chick pulled one back for The Daler's 19 minutes into the second half and after 90 minutes it was 1-1.

Steven Strotten was first off the mark putting Holmesdale in front 5 minutes into extra time, only for Anthony Weir to equalise in the following minute.

It was Strotten again two minutes later once again putting The Daler's in front.

Beckenham's James Holder had the final say in the 105th minute when he equalised and took the game to a penalty shoot out.

Beckenham's skipper, Curran, was first to step up to the mark and Jamie Williams pulled off a top draw save as the ball was heading into the corner.

With Beck's first effort saved Holmesdale made no mistakes and went on to win the shoot-out 5-4 and now go on to face Herne Bay in the Quarter Finals on 9th January.


Three's Lose Out By A Goal

Holmesdale's Third Team lost out to North Kent by a single goal in a nine goal battle.

North Kent took the points with a 4-5 win.

Holmesdale next entertain Phoenix Sports Reserves on Saturday 19th December.


Holmesdale Bounce Back

Saturday 5th December 2009

Holmesdale bounced back after recent events with a 0-3 win over Sporting Bengal United at The Mile End Stadium.

All the goal action came in the second half with Billy Warner opening the scoring on 55 minutes.

Tony Atkins secured the three points with a quick fire brace on 65 and 67 minutes.

Holmesdale's next outing is to local rivals Beckenham in The Kent Senior Trophy Second Round.

Single Goal Secures Points For Three's

Holmesdale's Third Team saw off Highfield Rovers for three points with a 0-1 win having already beaten them 4-3 in the home league in their last fixture on November 28th.

Holmesdale's next game is home to North Kent on December 12th.
