On Sunday Ross Mitchell and Rob Tolfrey won a Keeper Wars competition hosted by Dartford FC at Princess Park to raise money for charity.

72 Keepers entered the competition from all Divisions and included The Kent League, The Rymans League and The Conference Level .

The competition involved four keepers 2 vs 2 with four minutes to score as many goals as possible with both goals being 20 yards apart.

Rob Tolfrey - It was a great day out and the standard was very good so we did well to win it! Ross and I go back a long way and are good mates and sometimes train together. We thought we had half a chance of doing well. Ross made some great saves to get us through to the quarter finals. It was a pleasure to enter and take part and even more of a pleasure to win it. We will be back next year to try and retain our title. Thanks to all for a good day.

Ross Mitchell - Echo what Rob has said really. It was a great day and made even better by winning it. Rob is a fantastic keeper. For as long as I have known him his always been reliable between the sticks and one of the best keepers I have played and trained with. We both know what our strengths are. It was a good team effort and I must confess that Rob done great all throughout the day especially towards the final stages where his superior fitness levels kicked in. Trust me it was hard on the old legs.
