Manager Report 2009 Tuesday 2nd June 2009

When Jim and I took over back in January we had to get the players heads right ASAP, because as in most things in life, no one likes change and if players don't feel happy and settled it can and will affect their game.

We managed to bring in a couple of quality players who we knew would improve the team and this helped, because the season was taking its toll with key players like Jason Thompson, Charlie Cornell and James Dadson who missed a lot of games.

With players like Tom Mcqude and AJ coming back, that started to make the whole place buzz again and I thank them for returning.

With out a doubt players like Christos Nicoli, John Maloney, Paul Semakula, Paul Springett, Frank Bunani, Steve White, and Danny Harwood helped out both on and off the pitch with their experience and there never say die attitude.

I have to mention Joel Greaves, his goals pushed us right up there, and I'm sure all of us are grateful for all his effort he gave the team.

I would also like to mention Chris Hatt and Russell Bedford, they may not have started every game, but when they did start or when they came on, they always gave 100 percent and trained just as hard.

I think a player that surprised us all was Ben Chick, on his day he terrorised defenders with his pace and his natural ability, and hopefully we will see a lot more of him.

I think finishing 5th and having taken points off every team in our league shows that this team has the ability to go on, and if we can bring in a couple of players and keep the key players I'm sure we will have another magnificent season, and with hard work and commitment who knows what will come our way...
