Six For Holmesdale's Sunday Team
Sunday 29th March 2009Holmesdale's Sunday Team saw off Hatcham with a 6-1 win.
They sit second in the Metropolitan Sunday League Division One Table two points behind leaders FC Cortez with four games in hand.
Holmesdale play seventh place Oarolians on Sunday 5th April.
One Point At The Top
Saturday 28th March 2009Holmesdale put in one of their best away performances of the season to comfortably beat Deal Town 4-0 at the Charles Sports Ground.
Josh Davidson gifted the visitors their opening goal when he scored an own goal after just 12 minutes and it stayed that way until after the break.
In the second half Paul Semakula got Holmesdale's second on 58 minutes, AJ Morrision hit the third 11 minutes later and Joel Greaves wrapped up the victory in the 77th minute.
The gap at the top of the table is reduced to one point after Greenwich Borough won 2-0 at the Reachfields Stadium.
Holmesdale entertain Lordswood at Oakley Road next weekend, Saturday 4th April.
Division Two Champions!
Saturday 28th March 2009Congratulations to all the Holmesdale Reserves who clinched the Second Division title when they saw off VCD Athletic 2-0 at Oakley Road.
Their 14th win of the season sees them 13 points clear of Herne Bay who were the only team who could have caught them mathematically.
The team will be looking to remain unbeaten during the remainder of the season as they face Tunbridge Wells on Saturday 11th April at Oakley Road.
Semi Final Exit for Thirds
Saturday 28th March 2009Holmesdale lost their Challenge Cup Semi Final 2-1 to Seven Acre Sports (SLA).
The team take on Barnehurst next weekend in the Challege Cup Semi Final so will be hoping to progress further this time around.
Holmesdale Keep The Pressure On
Saturday 21st March 2009After suffering their first home defeat of the season last weekend to VCD Athletic, Holmesdale needed a win to keep the pressure on league leaders Hythe Town.
Sevenoaks Town had also recently beaten Hythe with a 3-2 victory at Greatness Park so Holmesdale knew that this would be a tough game.
A single 12th minute goal from Forward Joel Greaves was enough to secure the three points for The Dalers and keep the gap at the top to 4 points.

Nine Goals At Oakley Road
Saturday 21st March 2009Holmesdale's second XI remain undefeated after securing another three points at Oakley Road as they took on visitors Ramsgate.
In a game that saw an early succession of quick goals at either end of the pitch and two penalties awarded to Ramsgate, Holmesdale came out on top after the 90 minutes winning 6-3.
Steve Strotten scored a hat trick, Jack Highwood managed a brace and Steve O'Rourke had the other goal on the day.
Holmesdale now only need another win to be crowned Division Two Champions as they look towards their home fixture next weekend against VCD Athletic.
Quarter Final Win Sees Thirds Through
Saturday 21st March 2009Holmesdale's third team beat South East Athletic 2-0 in The Charity Cup Quarter Final to secure a semi-final meeting against Seven Acre Sports (SLA).
Victory To The Vickers
Saturday 14th March 2009Holmesdale suffered their first home league defeat of the season to VCD Athletic at the weekend.
Leroy Huggins got the only goal of the match three minutes before half time.
The gap at the top goes back to four point.
Holmesdale's next match sees them make the short trip to Sevenoaks on Saturday 21st.

Holmesdale Reserves See Off VCD
Saturday 14th March 2009Holmesdale's second XI extended their unbeaten league run to 15 games with a 3-0 win over VCD.
The lead at the top of the table is now five points and with three games in hand.
The team will be in home action again on Saturday as Ramsgate make the long trip to Oakley Road.
Three Points For The Thirds
Saturday 14th March 2009The Third Team saw off Heathfield with a 2-1 win.
They hold onto sixth place in the Bromley and District League with 19 points.
Division Two Golden Ball Award
Thursday 12th March 2009Congratulations to Holmesdale's Second XI who have been awarded the Molten Sports Golden Ball Award for February.
The 2's are currently two points clear at the top of League Division Two with four games in hand over closest rivals Hythe Town.
The team will be looking to move closer to the League Title on Saturday when they travel to the home of VCD Athletic in Crayford.
A Game of Two Halves
Tuesday 10th March 2009Holmesdale fought back in a game which looked almost over at half time to earn themselves a point as they faced Tunbridge Wells at Oakley Road.
The visitors started the game positively and found themselves 2-0 up within 13 minutes through a quick brace from Coleman (10, 13). Holmesdale had all to do and then Barton found the net for The Wells in the 37th minute.
Any neutrals would have written the game off at half time but Holmesdale fought back and were the stronger side in the second half with an early goal from Tom McQuade in the 46th minute. This goal lifted the team spirit and got Holmesdale back into a game that seemed almost over.
Late in the half Joel Greaves scored a quick brace (70, 79) to bring Holmesdale on level terms and earn them a point.
Holmesdale are now 3 points behind leaders Hythe Town so will be looking for a strong performance at the weekend when they entertain VCD Athletic at home.
Holmesdale Leave Empty Handed
Saturday 7th March 2009Holmesdale paid visit to the home of Herne Bay for their match against Norton Sports.
Tom Price put the home side ahead on 53 minutes then Joel Greaves gave Holmesdale hope with his 75th minute equaliser. Price wrapped up the match for Norton a minute before the final whistle.
Holmesdale entertain Tunbridge Wells at Oakley Road on Tuesday evening at 7:45.
All Square at Oakley Road
Saturday 7th March 2009Holmesdale's Second XI entertained Deal Town in a 2-2 draw at Oakley Road.
Jack Highwood put The Daler's ahead only for Deal to equalise. Jack then found the net a second time to secure his brace before Deal found a second half goal to hold the game to a draw.
Holmesdale remain top of the Second Division with four games in hand and the gap now reduced to two points.
Ten Goal Bonanza
Saturday 7th March 2009It was a ten goal bonanza as Holmesdale's Third Team stepped out against Shelton Athletic.
Holmesdale remain sixth in the Bromley and District Premier League and next face Heathfield on Saturday 14th March.
