Holmesdale FC Presentation Evening

Christos Nicoli led the standings at Holmesdale's Annual Presentation Ceremony picking up two awards as both The First Team Manager's Player and Player's Player of the year.

Sportsman of the Year went to Goal Keeper, Danny Harwood, who is currently preparing for surgery on the knee injury he suffered in the 1-1 draw with League Runner's up Hythe Town in April. Jason Thompson picked up Club Player of The Year for donning the gloves and stepping into goal.

Jack Highwood, Martin Perkins and Robert Dalton picked up the Manager's Player Award for the Reserves, Third Team and Sunday XI respectively.

Third For The Threes

Holmesdale's Third XI ended their season in high form with a 5-2 win over Erith 147 Reserves.

Congratulations to all the team on a superb third place finish in the Bromley and District Premier Division.

Phoenix End Holmesdales Winning Run

Holmesdale suffered their fourth league defeat of the season as they faced a strong Phoenix Sports Reserve side.

Phoenix Sports took the 3 points with a 3-0 victory and made secure the runners up spot.

Holmesdale finish the season against Erith 147 Reserves next Saturday where they'll be hoping for a repeat of the home meeting a fortnight ago which ended with Holmesdale winning 2-1.

Threes Continue Their Winning Run

Saturday 9th May 2009

As the only Holmesdale side still with games to play all eyes were on Holmesdale's Third Team as they took on visitors Erith 147 Reserves at Oakley Road.

Holmesdale notched up their sixth consecutive league win with a 2-1 victory with goals coming from Jamie Baker and an own goal from Erith.

Holmesdale travel to Phoenix Sports Reserves next Saturday where another win will bring them closer to clinching the runners up spot.

Metropolitan Division One Champions

Sunday 3rd May 2009

Holmesdale's Sunday Team met Dartford Aces at Oakley Road in their final game of the season.

Holmesdale squandered several missed chances and even had the opportunity to take the lead from the penalty spot.

Having already taken the league title a win wasn't necessary but the squad pulled off a late 1-0 win with only a few minutes left on the clock.

Three For The Threes

Saturday 2nd May 2009

With The First Team and Reserves Seasons over Holmesdale's Third XI moved to Oakley Road to take on The University of Greenwich.

A 3-1 victory gave the Three's their fifth consecutive league victory and moves them into third place in the Bromley and District Premier Division.

Barnehurst travel to Oakley Road for a midweek fixture this Tuesday evening, 5th May at 7:45PM where Holmesdale will be looking for another three points to close the gap on second placed Phoenix Sports Reserves.
