The Weekend Ahead
Friday 18th September 2009Holmesdale Vs Greenwich Borough, Saturday 19th September 3:00PM, Oakley Road.
We go into this FA Vase game against Greenwich Borough on the back of a good win against Corinthians. We won't get carried away with this win, but a clean sheet and both strikers scoring and playing another 90 minutes together will help them build a relationship.
We know we will have to be at our best to get anything out of this game, because we all know what a good job Steve and Co have done with The Borough.
Like most teams at the start of the season it takes time to build, and although we have kept most of last years team, we have added and improved I feel.
I do believe the squad is nearly there and all we need now is games to gel and hopefully pick up some points along the way.
I also feel like Borough, that we do try and play the right way, and that is very important.

The Weekend Ahead
Thursday 10th September 2009It's back to League action this weekend after the distraction of The FA Cup and The FA Vase.
In the FA Cup we were all disappointed with our performance against Badshot Lea who came here really fired up, and didn't give us a minute on the ball. We have enough quality to handle that usually, but we didn't on the day, so well done and good luck to them in the next round.
The following week we kicked off in The Vase away to Feltham and from the warm up Jim and I could tell that everyone was up for this game and wanted to put on a display and get back to winning ways. We won the game 1-5 and at times we looked brilliant and our movement and work rate was excellent.
On Saturday we welcome a team that I know a lot about in Beckenham Town as I was there as skipper and as Assistant Manager. They have changed most of the successful team we had back then, but there are still a few players there who I know well.
I watched their game last week and was impressed, and I'm sure they will come here fired up after there recent results and be ready to give us a game. We have been busy working hard both on and off the field and with new signings and players coming back from injury we will have a strong squad to choose from, so I think it will be good close game, but hopefully the points will come our way.
